"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: TRANSFER OF $82 MILLION DOLLARS (HELP MY FAMILY)

Dearest One.

I am Mr. Chuka Mbakwe the first some of Late Samuel Onunaka Mbakwe, Republic Governor of Old Imo State, Nigeria.
You can read more about my family background below.

I write to you hoping that this message will bring about , good business relationship and mutual benefit to both your family and mine and also I got you contact details from your country chamber of commerce while I was searching for a good and reliable foreigner who will assist me in the recovering of $83 Million USD (eighty three million U.S dollars) which I intend to use for investments outside my country as I am planning to leave the country for good with the whole of my family due to much corruption and seizures of my late fathers properties and assets which has brought a big destruction to my family.

We lost almost all my fathers assets during the military régime which came in immediately my father left office in 1983.
We had kept silent all those while hoping that there would be a better day when things will ease up but things have grown rough until this day which made us to decide collectively as a family to find a foreigner who will assist us to retrieve the funds which my father deposited secretly in a security company in a vault in cash.

We now find it hard to retrieve the money because our family name rings a bell in Nigeria and also the funds are still registered in my father's name and any attempt to change the beneficiary to any name that belongs to my family will only bring up suspicion and also seizure of the money by the Nigerian Government and also we as a family do not want to involve any party from our country due to fear of exposure of the funds and that is the reason why I am writing you as a foreigner to assist us and move the money out of the country to your account after which my whole family will leave the country for good and then you will assist us in the investment of the funds as you profile shows that you are a prominent business entrepreneur.
We have also decided as a family to give %35 of the total funds to you as you benefit for the assistance you will render to my family.

We have no choice now and we must act fast and get the money out of the country because it is our only means of funds and we hope for your assistance and also concern and business relationship.

Thank you for taking your time to read this message and I hope you find our reasons understandable.

Hope to hear from you.
