"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Re: Payment Solution

Attn: Concerned Contractors/Beneficiaries!

I am Mr. Ojo Maduekwe, the newly appointed minister, Foreign Affairs.
My office monitors and controls the affairs of all banks and
financial institutions in Nigeria concerned with foreign contract
payments.

I am the final signatory to any transfer or remittance of huge funds
moving within banks both at the local and international levels in line
with the IMF foreign remittance policy on foreign contract debt
settlement. I have before me list of funds, which could not be
transferred into some nominated foreign bank accounts as these funds
have been identified either as ghost contractor payment, unclaimed
deposits and over-invoiced sum etc, while others were returns payable
toparticitipants of a legitimately executed contract in Nigeria years
back.

Your name was among the list of contractors / beneficiaries expecting
funds to be transferred into their account for long, on this note, I
wish to have a deal with you as regards to your unpaid contract funds.
I have your file before me and i hope your data's are correct and
un-altered, but to avoid ! mistakes during funds transfer process, i
strongly request you to reconfirm it again. I have the powers to
declare these surplus/unpaid contract funds as unclaimed deposits
which will later be credited into the Federal Government Treasury and
Reserve Account.

I took the decision to write you based on the instructions I received
few days ago from the Senate Committee on Contract Payments / Foreign
Debts to submit the List of payment reports /expenditures and audited
reports of revenues by my ministry with immediate effect.

Among several others, I have decided to remit your executed contract sum
valued US$11,500,000 following the condition that we have
deal/agreement together which will enable me to execute this task
legally.

MY CONDITIONS.

1. The sum of USD$5M only will be paid into an account I will provide
you after you have confirmed the transfer of your sum into your
account by telegraphic Transfer (T/T), confirmable in 5 working days.

2. This deal must be kept secret forever, and all correspondence will
be strictly by email / telephone, for security purposes.

3. There would be no third party as most problems associated with your
funds release in recent times were caused by your agents and other
representatives.

If you AGREE with my conditions, l will advise you on what to do
immediately and the transfer will commence without any delay as I will
proceed to fix your name on the Payment schedule instantly to meet the
three days mandate given by the senate committee.

I hope you don't reject this conditions and have your long overdue
funds transferred? Waiting for your immediate response.

Best Regards,
Mr. Ojo Maduekwe,
FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER.
