"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Mr. Kokuvi ADAMS.
44 Rue Du Commerce.
B.P. 450014.
Lome - Togo.

Dear Sir,

I am the director of Bills and Exchange Dept. of *Unique Trust Bondage and
Financial Services *and I am reaching you following the impressive
information I got about you.

In my department we discovered abandoned sum of US$9.5 million in our
company vault deposit account, which belongs to one of our client who died
along with his family in a plane crash.

Since we got information about his death, we have been expecting his next
of kin or a relation to come over for the claim of this fund but no one show
up since then.

The deposit cannot be released to anybody unless the next of kin or a
relation to this late client as indicated in our guidlines and bylaws
but unfortunately his only son as supposed next of kin died alongside him in
the tragedy leaving nobody behind for the claim.

It is therefore upon this very discovery that we decided to sent this
business proposal to you so that we will release this funds to you as the
next of kin or a relation to the late client.

Our nation *Banking and Finance* regulations and bylaws stipulates that
after 6 years of such deposit remained unclaimed, the bank or company should
transfer to federal treasury account as an unclaimed deposited fund.

I look at it as being foolish, since I know that nobody is coming for this
claim again and the next thing will be transfering it to federal treasury as
unclaimed deposit as regulations and bylaws stipulate. In that case
we decide to contact you to work in partnership so that the fund will be
released to you as the next of kin or a relation to this deceased foreign
client for subsequent disbursement between us.

I would want you to know that our request of a foreigner to stands as the
next of kin in this business is occassioned by such fact that the client was
a foreigner and in that case a local person can not stands for the claim.

We are proposing 35% of this total money to be for you in respects to
the role you
will play in the business, while 60% would be for me and my associates and
5% will be aside for the expenses that might comeup during the processes.

Thereafter our successful business, I and my associate will visit you
in your cpuntry for disbursement of this fund according to percentage
stated above.

To enable the immediate transfer of this fund to you as arranged, you
will apply as a relation or next of kin to the deceased foreignclient
indicating your
bank account where the fund will be transferred, your private phone and fax
number for easy and effective communication.

Upon receipt of your reply indicating your willingness and interest in this
transaction, I will send you details on how this transaction will be
carried out successfully.

Please keep this proposal as a *top secret* and delete if you are not
interested.

Regards,

Kokuvi ADAMS.
Bills & Exchange Director.
Unique Trust Bondage and Financial Services.
