"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I know that my message will come to you as a surprise since you do not know
me in person. But I believe that you would be obliged to come to my
assistance after hearing my situation. My name is Miss Sámi Yussif, an
accounting Graduate of the University of Ghana, Accra West Africa. The only
Daughter of late Mr. Musah Yussif, My father was a cocoa merchant based in
Ghana, the economic capital of Accra. He was poisoned to death by his
business associates on one of their outing to discuss on a business last
seven years.

I am the only surviving child of my parents before their untimely death.
Before the death of my father, he deposited in my name, two consignment
boxes containing gold and fund worth the sum of ($ 4.M) four million United
State Dollars deposited in my name in Security Company here in Ghana. I am
still having the certificate of deposit which was given to me by my late
father before he died.

Please, I am confidently seeking your assistance to help me transfer the
consignment from the security company into your care. I have decided to
leave my country and invest in a country where I will have peace. I am going
to give you the documents so you can reach with the security company here in
Ghana for the transfer of the consignment into your care but, that will be
after I hear from you. I will be going to see my late father's lawyer who
has all other of the documents that my father entrusted in his care.*
