"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

1. Buyers of fertilizers (urea 46%, NPK 15-15-15) in large quantities
from Ukraine on CIF basis.

2. Owners of Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) who want to lease them out
for a fee.

3. Producers of palm oil who are ready to sell to a buyer in Germany.
The buyer has a bank guarantee to give a serious seller of the palm oil in large quantity per month.

4. A supplier of Portland cements 42.5 to a buyer in Italy on CIF basis. The cement buyer has bank guarantee to give to the cement supplier too.

5. Owners of ships who are ready to charter them to a rich company in Indonesia to convey cargoes for one year.

6. Owners of helicopters who are ready to lease them to a company based in Indonesia.

7. Owners of Medium Term Notes (MTN) who are ready to sell them to
interested buyers in Asia.

8. Buyers of Gas Oil D2 or AGO from Russian refinery on CIF basis.

9. Buyers of Russian Export Blend Crude Oil (BEBCO) on FOB basis.
