"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I waited for you to contact me for your confirmable Bank Draft worth (US$2.5
M) Two million five hundred thousand USD but I did not hear from you for a
couple of months now. Then i went to the issuing bank( Bank of Africa Benin
Republic) to confirm if the draft has expired or getting near to expiration
and Mr.Stephen Wilson the Director of the Bank told me that before the draft
will get to your address that it will expire. So I told him to convert the
US$2.5 M United States dollar to cash payment to avoid losing this funds
under expiration as i will be out out of the country for a 3 Months Course
and i will not come back till ending of August 2008.

the content was money. This is to avoid them delaying with the trunk box.
Don't let them know that box contains money so that they will not try to
