"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: WITH DUE RESPECT.

With due respect,

We are a Merchant/Broker from al-Basrah, in the Republic of Iraq.We are established to help the government of Iraq to source for supplier of the goods they need in rebuilding of new Iraq.I write to you and wish to introduce your esteemed Company to the Iraq Development Program - one of the biggest anywhere in the world - which is set to expand even further, as yet more contracts are signed and projects drawn up.

My country's revenue generation potential - bolstered by abundant oil and other resources, as well as the long-term commitment of global donors to the rebuilding effort - is enormous. It can rival all other major regional economies.

Despite the present security situation, many businesses are already successfully gaining a foothold in this large under-developed and investment-hungry market.

My proposal is to supply your Products to our Government under the Iraq Development Program.

Please furnish me with a list of your supply ability and capability with a confirmation of your intent to supply.

My email address: hassansalam@gawab.com

Best regards,

Dr.Azeez Hassan Salam
