Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

You may be surprised to receive this letter from me since you don't know me personally. I am STEEVE NCUBE ,a Zimbabwean and the first son of Mr. WALTER NCUBE, who was brutally murdered on the 9 Jan 2008 by the government sponsored ZANU-PF war veterans, I got your contact through network online hence I decided to write to you. Before the death of my father, (Mr. WALTER NCUBE) he had taken me to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to deposit the some of US$ 8.7 Million {Eight Million Seven Hundred Thousand United States Dollars}, in a PRIVATE SECURITY COMPANY, as if he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe. This money was deposited in a box as PRIVATE VALUABLES to avoid much demurrage from the Security Company. This amount was meant to purchase new machines and chemicals for the farms and establishment of a new farm in Kingdom of Swaziland.

The problem started when Zimbabwean President Mr. ROBERT MUGABE introduced a new land Act reform, which saw acres of land taken from whites and some few opposition blacks, it wholly affected the rich white farmers and some few black farmers. This resulted to killing and mob action by Zimbabwean war veterans and some lunatics in the society. In fact, a lot of people were killed because of this land reform Act which made President MUGABE became unpopular resulting to his(Mugabe) sit tight attitude on the seat of presidency, my father met his waterloo due to his strict believe on CHANGE at the seat of Zimbabwean presidency which does not go down well with MR.PRESIDENT.
It is against this background that , I decides to relocate to Malaysia as political asylum seekers, BUT I later realized that I cannot invest this money in Malaysia due to my asylum status, I decided to transfer the money to your Country for investment, using your utmost co-operation as a stepping stone, since the law of Malaysia prohibits refugees to open any bank account or to be involved in any financial transaction throughout the territorial zone of Malaysia. As the first son of my father, I am saddled with the responsibility of seeking a genuine foreign account where this money could be transferred into, without the knowledge of my government who are bent on taking everything belonging to my father. All I seek for, is an honest businessman, whom I can entrust my future and that of my family, I must also let you know that this transaction is 100% risk free. If you accept to assist me and my family all I want from you is to help me open a non-resident dollar account in
Malaysia, on your name which will aid us in transferring the money into any account you will nominate overseas(your country)
