"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

This letter would definitely come to you as a surprise
owing to the fact that you and I have never had any prior
communication. My names are MORRIS RONALD GEOFFERY JOHN.

I am an Australian but presently in United Kingdom. I write
to know if you will be interested in working with me on a
deal that can make us millionaires if we can be sincere
with each other as well as having mutual respect for one
another. This is a deal that can run for several months
without being unveiled if only we can keep our secrets
between just the two of us, and without showing off our
wealth to attract undue attentions.

I am an IT expert who have devised a means of siphoning
funds from huge deposits of Saddam Hussein's loot in a
bank in Jersey, Channel Island. Details are available for
your verification upon request and assurance that you are
really serious to join forces with me for the execution of
this deal. I am capable of juggling through the bank's
database and make transfers without being noticed by any
known bank security device. I have built a network that
makes use of the OFX-Connect of i2cbank Electronic
Transaction Processing and Personal Financial Management
(PFM) equipments/applications. This Network is built around
a secure e-commerce transaction SSL Certificates that
enables up to 256-bit encryption including Signing
Technologies, Identity Verification Developer Solutions and
Anti-Phishing Tools to enhance smooth, undetectable and
untraceable transactions. This is a risk free deal, which
can never be traced to anybody because it is strictly
electronic
commerce and highly encrypted on both ends of the transfer
platform. There is US$500,000,000.00 (Five Hundred Million
United States Dollars) in the said account but we can keep
our deal as low as $20,000 and this will run on a number of
installments spreading over quite a period of time.
Following the execution of Saddam and current confiscation
of his assets and properties, the said bank is about
sitting on this money because the account is coded. So,
this is the right time to cash into this opportunity. I am
contacting you to be the receiving agent at an agreed
percentage or sharing ratio to be governed by a written
agreement between us. I do not want to be greedy about this
and I do not mind equal sharing so long as you will be
sincere in terms of accountability and assurance of my
security whenever we are meeting in your country.

On a final note, I wish to state here that for security
reasons I would not be giving you the entire details of
this deal until I know your position. Therefore, I shall
upon your response give you a more detailed
explanation/clarifications on this deal, my contact
address, my phone numbers, my winning strategies as well as
on why I am so sure of being successful in the deal. The
sooner we commence this deal the better. So, I would look for someone else
to work with if I do not have your response within the next 7 days.

Regards,

MORRIS R.G. JOHN
