"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Miss Susan S. Nana

Dearest Beloved one,

Based on your profile, l am happy to request for your assistance because i believe that you are not going to betrayed the trust which i am going to lay on you.

My name is Susan S. Nana, 20 years old and the only daughter of my late parents Mr and Mrs Christopher Nana. My father was a highly reputable business magnet-(a cocoa merchant) who operated in the capital of Ivory Coast during his days.. It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France
during one of his business trips abroad on 12th.October 2004.Though his sudden death was linked or father suspected to have been masterminded by an uncle of his who travelled with him at that time, but God knows the truth!

My mother died when I was a kid, and since then my father decided not to marry another wife. Before the death of my Father he called me on his bed side while he was on the hospital and told me that he has the sum of (USD$12.500.000) Twelve Million Five Hundred Thousand dollars left in a bank here
in Ivory Coast the capital city where I am still staying written you right now,

I have gone to the bank to verify about the fund which they confirmed to me that the money is still with their bank and they printed the last statement of the account to proof that they are still in procession of the fund but they told me that i am not up to the age that they reach in agreement
with my father by the time he deposited the fund with their bank, stating that i cannot have access to the fund that i have to get a guardian who will help me receive my inheritance
He also told me that i should not let any of his relations to know about this. because he was killed by them and if they know about it, that they will do nothing but to kill me in other to take hold of every thing, He told me that i should seek for a foreign partner abroad who will help me
transfer the fund under the persons care and also travel with him or her in other to continue my Education there and also to start a Business relationship with the person,

My dear, this is why i have come in contact with you in order to help me retrieve that fund from the bank custody and send it direct to your country and also to make an arrangement for me on how i will come over to your country in other to continue my Education and also to go into business
relationship with you hence i am still a novice and i don't know any thing about business,
I am just 20 years old and a university undergraduate and really don't know what to do. This is because I have suffered a lot of set backs as a result of incessant political crisis here in Ivory coast. The death of my father actually brought sorrow to my life.

My dear, i am in a sincere desire of your humble assistance in this regards and your suggestions and ideas will be highly regarded.
Now permit me to ask these few questions:

1.Can I completely trust you?
2. Can you accept me as your own blood Sister or daughter?
3. What percentage of the total amount in question will be good for you?

Consider this and get back to me as soon as possible with your full information's and for you to assurance that you will not disappoint me in this issue so that i can give you the contact of the bank where my late Father deposited that fund for you to contact them on how the fund will be
retrieved from their custody and transferred to you in your country,

Thank you so much for your understanding and may almighty God bless you and your Family to the Glory of Almighty God,

My sincère regards,
Susan S. Nana,
