"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I need your assistance. {From Benjamin Onyelisi}.

Compliment of the day:

I am very sorry to bother you with my plight. Please know that it's not by
mistake I am contacting you but by the special grace of God I am Benjamin
Onyelisi the first son of Odd Onyelisi Elumeze the most popular black farmer
in Zimbabwe who was recently murdered in the land dispute in my country.

I got your contact through network online hence decided to write you. Before
the death of my father, he had taken me to Accra Ghana to deposit the sum of
US$7 Million (Seven Million United States dollars) in one of the private
security company as he foresaw the looming danger in Zimbabwe this money was
deposited in a box as gemstones to avoid much demurrage from Security
Company.

This amount was meant for the purchase of new machines and chemicals for the
Farms and establishment of new farms in Swaziland . This land problem came
when Zimbabwean President Mr. Robert Mugabe introduced a new Land Act Reform
wholly affected the rich white farmers and some few black farmers.

And this resulted to the killing and mob action by Zimbabwean war veterans
and some lunatics in the society. In fact a lot of people were killed
because of this Land reform Act for which my father was one of the victims.
It is against this background that I fled Zimbabwe for fear of my lives and
currently staying in West Africa Accra Ghana where I am seeking political
asylum and more so have decided to transfer my father's money to a more
reliable foreign partner so that I can come over for investment purpose and
also to continue my education.

Since the law of Ghana prohibits a refugee (asylum seeker) to be involved in
any financial transaction throughout the territorial zone of Ghana as the
eldest son of my father, I am saddled with the responsibility of seeking a
genuine foreign partner where this consignment could be transferred without
the knowledge of my government who are bent on taking everything we have
got.

I am seeking for a reliable foreign partner who I can trust in the future
all I want you to do is to make an arrangement with the security company to
clear the consignment trunk box here in Ghana but if you can come over to
Accra Ghana it will be better for us. I have two options for you. Firstly
you can choose to have certain percentage of the total funds for nominating
your assistance for this transaction or you can go into partnership with me
for the proper profitable investment of the money in your country.

Whichever the option you want, feel free to notify me. I have also mapped
out 5% for any expenses incurred in the process of this transaction. If you
do not prefer a partnership I am willing to give you 15% of the money while
the remaining 80% will be for my investment in your country.

Get back to me while I implore you to maintain the absolute secrecy required
in this transaction.

Thank you and GOD bless you.

Yours Faithfully,

Benjamin Onyelisi.
