"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Contact Fedex Courier today for the delivery of your check.

Dear Friend,

I have been waiting for you to come down here and pick your Bank Cheque
which my boss kept with me for your compensation in trying to assist him
initially in his multi-million business that he had concluded now with a new
partner from Chile but I did not hear from you since that time. I went and
deposited the Cheque with Fedex Parcel Delivery here in Benin Republic,
because I want to travel to Chile to see my boss and will not come back till
next month end and secondly, it is a risk for me to continue to keep the
check with me since my name is NOT on it, so I want you to contact the Fedex
Parcel Delivery here, Benin Republic to know when they will deliver your
package/Cheque.

NOTE: I have paid for the delivering charges and insurance fee on your
behalf. The only money you have to send to them is their security keeping
fee which is only US$150.00 ONLY to receive your package as they told me.
Below is their Contact Address:

Contact Person/Director Parcel Despatch: Mr. Frank Taylor.
Company: Fedex Parcel Delivery, Benin Republic.
Company's E-mail address: fedex.parceldelivery@yahoo.fr

Try to contact them as soon as possible to avoid increasing the security
keeping fee. I gave them your delivering address but you have to reconfirm
your infos to them such below to avoid any mistake in the delivering.

1.Your full name.
2.Your telephone number.
3.Your address where you can easily receive your bank Cheque.
4.Security fee of US$150.00 only.

Wish you good luck as you comply to this directive.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Chiezie Ajide.
