"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

- Dear Beloved, Before I proceed, I must first apologize for this unsolicited mail to you. I am aware that this is certainly not a conventional way of approach to establish a relationship of trust, but you will realize the need for my action. I got your contact information through the International Public Record ` WHO IS WHO` after I fasted and prayed to God for a reliable person who will not defraud us of our inheritance and our only chance at having a qualitative education. My name is Ranny Dawson the only daughter of Mr & Mrs. Mark Dawson who was killed early this year in of Zimbabwe because of his opposing stance against the Government of Robert Mugabe. Due to my fathers opposing views to President Mugabe, our house and farm was invaded by armed men loyal to the President. They murdered my parents and two of my brothers in cold blood, looted and burnt what was left. I was able to escape because i was in a boarding school at the time of the invasion. After the death of my father, I relocated to Republic of Benin. My father had deposited some funds with a security company. But he declared it family treasures instead of cash for security reasons. I contacted you because of our asylum , we are not allowed to operate a bank account I urgently need you to help me transfer the money out of Africa preferably to Europe or America so that you can invest the money in trust for us while I complete my education. I agreed to compensate generously for your help. I will offer 20% of the total sum as your reward and 5% for your expenses if any. The remaining 75% you will hold in trust and invest it on my behalf until after my education. I want you to treat this information as HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL and not reveal it to anyone for security reasons Once you are agreed to my proposal,i shall give you the contact details of the security company and how you will contact them. I urgently need to hear from you. Thanks. Ranny Dawson
