"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Be informed that after waited for some time and there is no response from you, then I decided to convert your payment to ATM CARD through the Union Bank here in Lagos because I have to travel out side the Country for site seeing and will not come back till November,28 2008. I want you to contact the Union Bank Director of Foreign Operations, Mr. Ahmed Zamfara,to know how you can receive your ATM CARD amounted to US$2.5M, contact him as soon as you receive this message to avoid misplacing your ATM CARD or some one else collecting it because the secret code to access the ATM account is included in the enclosed envelope.

Following is the information you need to re-confirm to him which will prove to him that you are the rightful owner of the ATM CARD. I have given them your delivery address but you have to reconfirm it to them again to avoid any mistakes in the cause of delivery.
1}.Your complete address where you want the ATM CARD to be delivered.
2}. Your current telephone number where you can be reached incase if there is need for that.
Finally remember to indicate this code: GM0081 when contacting them, it will identify that you are the owner of the ATM CARD. Do let me know as soon as you received it.
