"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: YOUR BEQUEST IS READY: RESPOND ASAP.

YOUR US$6.4 MILLION BEQUEST.
From: The Trustee & Executors of the WILL of H.K. Chu.
Address: St Paul's Church,
25Bp 1333 Bp 09,
Abidjan, Ivory Coast,
W/Africa.

YOUR BEQUEST: PLEASE STUDY AND RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I am Noel Lambata. I am writing on behalf of the Trustees and Executors of
the WILL of late Engineer Hoe K. Chu. I was directed to inform you that you
were named in the codicil and last testament of the late Engineer Hoe K Chu
as the beneficiary to the bequest worth Six Million, Four Hundred Thousand
United States Dollars (US$6,400,000.00 ).

Until his death, he was a former managing director and pioneer staff of a
giant construction company. He was a very dedicated Christian and a
prominent parish member. As a great philanthropist, he received papal award
during his life time. He died on the 9Th March, 2006 and was buried on the
20Th of the same month. His will is now in execution. Although, he was a
foreigner, he requested before his death that he be buried here. In his
words, "I regard here as my home and the people as my people" He said that
the bequest is his token to either support your Charity work or to encourage
you to do so.

The US$6,400,000.00 is a financial gift to you as contained in his WILL. Be
informed that some times rich people will all or part of their wealth to
churches, organisations and individuals. It was once reported that Tom
Hunter, a British entrepreneur (CNN - 23/12/06) and Ms. Anita Roddick (CNN
- 02/01/07) gave greater part of their wealth to charity. My former primary
school was a beneficiary to this kind gesture from an American wealthy woman
in 1981. This unexpected gift usually comes to the recipient as a
surprise/miracle. So we advise that you rather be grateful than being
sceptical.

When replying this email, you are required to include a copy of this bequest
notification mail. You are also required to confirm your personal
information as stated below. This will enable the attorney to correctly file
in for the release of your bequest at the probate division of the high
court.
i. Your full name,
ii. Your current address,
iii. Your age,
vi. Your occupation,
v. Your sex (male/female),
vi. Your telephone number,
vii. Your fax number.

Remain blessed, and you may also send your reply to noel4_will@yahoo.com
OR the_board@mail.org

Yours in his service,

Noel Lambata (for: the Board of Trustees & Executors of the late Engr. Hoe
K. Chu's WILL).
