"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

information which is very serious.
For reasonable precaution kindly allow me to be brief till we acquaint
well.
My name is MAB. I am compelled by circumstances to seek for reliable and
dependable overseas acquaintance capable to assist us move the sum of
US$37 million in our possession to overseas for investment in profitable venture. Please see attachments.
Since we or through any proxy can not deposit the money in the banks here for security reasons, we have perfected good plan to move the money. The plan is risk free and we need an overseas assistance i.e. a person to receive the money and provide bank account. I assure you this is very serious and not phony.
I will be disposed to give you the detail and the proofs of the money
on receipt of your interest to assist and on confirmation that you are
capable to handle this transaction and the investment of the amount
involved. Be assured you will not be required to make up-front payment.
Your benefit will be 10% in monetary and in investment shares.
Thanking you in anticipation of your confidential approach and a line of
response.
