"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Beloved In The Lord,

Dear Beloved In The Lord, Greetings in the name of the most high. I am Mrs Naomi Khalida Oraya, 48yrs old. Please, I am contacting you for your assistance on my desire to establish a charity foundation in your country with the sum US$7.3Musd (Seven Million Three Hundred Thousand U.S. Dollars) which I inherited from my late husband who was a very successful businessman in gold mining and sellings before his untimely death in the year 2005 precisely on 10th February after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. I took this decision because I and my late husband were married for years, Unfortunately, without a child and recently, my Doctor told me that i have serious sickness which is cancer problem. The one that disturbs me most is the high blood preasure sickness. Having known my condition, I decided to donate this fund under your care as presently, Im hospitalized where I am undergoing treatment for my up coming cancer surgery. Please I hope on you as it has been my will to see that this money is invested in your country and benefits distributed each year among the charity organizations, motherless babies home, mosques, churches, Schools, supporting destitute aged men and women or to any organization of your choice you may have in mind that will be to the benefit of the less privileged. With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply with full assurance of your willingness to help me, I will give you all the relevant informations of the money as my duly assigned representative and beneficiary. Thank you in advance for your consideration and I hope to hear from you urgently. Remain blessed. Mrs Naomi Khalida Oraya.
