"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: from Mrs. Rose Williams.

Dearest in Christ,
Greetings in the name of our saviour.
With so much love of humanity and due respect, i am writing you this mail bearing in mind of your strong christian belief and inclination to God. I wish to bring to your cognizance that i am deeply concerned by the hardship and sufferrings of our several charity homes, orphanages, victims of
wars, terrorist attacks and natural disasters all over the world.
For a brief introduction of myself, i am Mrs Rose Williams from Kuwait and married to Mr. Robert Williams who worked with the Kuwaitian Embassy here in Cote d'ivoire for nine years before he died last year after a brief illness. We were devoted christians and married for eleven years without a
child. Since after his death, i decided not to remarry.
My late husband before he died, deposited the sum of U.S $5.500.000(five million five hundred thousand U.S dollars) in a Bank here in Abidjan (Cote d'ivoire) and i am the next of kin. Recently, my pancreatic cancer sickness is becoming more serious and my doctor has affirmed of me having a
precised time to live. I am as a result, donating this fund for the caring of these people mentioned above since i have no child to inherit this money. My Bible made me to understand in the book of Acts 20:35 that, it is more blessed to give than to receive.
As soon as i receive your affirmative reply, i shall give you the contact of the bank here, for you to contact them and discuss about the immediate transfering of this fund to your account. Please always remember me in your daily prayers and keep on assisting our less fortunates/privilleged all
over the world. Waiting for your soonest response, God bless you.
Yours Sister in Christ,
Mrs. Rose Williams.
