"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: THIS IS ABOUT MY SON BENSON, LOVE HIM AND CARE FOR HIM

Dearest Friend,

I hope my mail finds you in good health and brings more blessings to you.
Even though my story may be very pitiful, I do not want you to pity me, but
only show love and affection to my son. All I wish to request from you is to
take full custody of my son Benson. I was raised up in the orphanage and I
do not want my son to experience the sad experience I had when I was in the
orphanage as an orphan. My name is Mrs. Jovy Henry; I was married to the
late Mr. Richard Henry, who died together with our two daughters and many
other Indonesians on 26th of December
2004 due to the Tsunami Disaster.

I have made several attempts to trace my husband's relatives but got the
information that their whole family perished in the disaster. At present, my
only means of communication is through gesturing and writing. The news of
that tragedy worsened my diabetic condition. Before this fateful day, my
husband and I had lived in London UK for several years with our 3 children.
We all were supposed to travel to Indonesia for Christmas holidays, but my
ill-health couldn't permit me to travel with them, which made me and my son
stayed behind while my husband and our two
daughters traveled.

Now, the reason for writing you this letter is as a result of the report
that came to me from my doctor after my last diagnostic result, l was told
by my doctor that I may not leave longer than few weeks because of the
damage the cancer and diabetes have caused to my body system unless I
undergo an urgent surgery and that my chances of survival is not guarantied
judging from their medical diagnosis result.

This information has really created emotional pains to me since I am now
aware of my helpless condition but I have accepted it in good faith and have
asked God to take charge over my life since the doctors have failed me. My
present condition
notwithstanding, I still owe great responsibility to my son who is only 9
years old and his future is gives me concern and my main reason for writing
you will all difficulty to seek for your love. My son's name is Benson.
Since it is now obvious that I may die in a nearest future, his upbringing
is the greatest problem bordering me. I want you to take care of my son for
me. I have no body close to me to take care of him if I die as a result of
my ailment. I was rejected by my friends.

My husband and I have an account deposit of about £800,000.00 British Pounds
with a bank here in London United Kingdom, which he wanted to use for
investment in our son's name. If you accept to take my son, I will make you
the beneficiary of this fund to enable you carter for him.All I want from
you is your sincerity to genuinely love and care for my son, As soon as I
receive your reply in absolute truth and acceptance of my request; and not
because of the money which I will offer you but for the pity of orphan. I
will be glad to know that you would not treat my son badly in my absence. I
am writing you this mail with tears and I pray you will be honest towards
it.

Reply me if you truly accept my request at jovyhenryfamily@yahoo.com

Yours Sincerely,
Mrs. Jovy Henry
