"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

CONFIDENTIAL CONTRACT PAYMENT

ATTN:

Sir

President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the senate committee
instructed me on Foreign Debt to summon a meeting with Central Bank of
Nigeria board directors and executive governor of the bank on behalf of all
contractors/ inheritance beneficiaries who have not received their over due
contract/ inheritance payment.

In the conclusion of our yesterday meeting with the officials of Central
Bank of Nigeria it was concluded and duly stamped and signed by the federal
executive council that you must be paid on or before next week Friday via
newly introduce Automated Transfer Machine (ATM) card which is the fastest
system of payment and to curb fraudulent activities.

Why we decided to facilitate the payment is because of the new President
Mr.Musa Yar Adua made to all contractors/ inheritance funds beneficiaries
that he will make sure that all contractors/inheritance funds are paid to
the rightful beneficiaries via ATM card. Be informed that any
contractor/inheritance funds owners that do not receive his/her payment
atthis payment schedule should regard such payment as none existing.

However, you are advice in your own interest to contact and confirm from
your bankers if you can cash your ATM card in your local bank account and
get back to me upon the immediate confirmation from your bankers to enable
me scan and send you a sample of your Automated Transfer Machine (ATM) card
while you prepare to come down to our bank office to collect your original
ATM card.

With this new method of payment, you are not required to pay any money to
any individual and no amount of money is deductable from your principal sum
so it is you that will decide on how you want to receive your ATM card at
your own cost.

Your prompt attention and understanding count, as we do not have much time
on our side.

The earlier the better,

Best Regards,

DR. JOHN GOODMAN
Director: Swift Card Consults Payment Center Federal Republic of Nigeria.
