"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Personally To You

Hello, my name is Meire D. R, I am an American Aeronautic Engineer attached
to the military with the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment in Iraq.

Sequel to our discovery in 2003 of the monies stolen by Saddam Hussein’s
family, the bulk of the money has since been returned to the Iraqi
Government, however we managed to move part of it totaling US$25 Million
dollars in cash, mostly 100 dollar bills, we packaged this money as a
military cargo and diplomatically deposited with a private security outfit
in London for some time now, we where able to achieve this with the help of
a London based lawyer who is a close confidant of one of our Captain, we
wish to move the cargo out because of the policies of our President Barack
Obama, we are afraid that the money might be discovered hence we want to
move this cargo to you for safekeeping pending the completion of our
assignment here.

Check out this web link; http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.stm

I have been assigned by some top Military officers here to liaise with a God
fearing partner that we can trust to assist us receive the cargo containing
the money, Can I trust you?

arrangement for the successful execution of this operation has been
carefully worked out and if you are interested I will send you the full
details.
