"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

We have received an irrevocable mandate from the Office of the President,
Financial Adviser to the President, Dr. Demola Johnson, to effect the
payment of your overdue contract/ Inheritance fund by the issuance of a
Certified International Bank Draft, raised from our bank Central Bank of
Nigeria, payable through Citibank N. A., New York, U.S.A., in the tune of
US$10,500,000.00.

The above order was taken based on the instructions received from His
Excellency, President /Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal
Republic of Nigeria, Musa Umaru Yar’Adua, to pay all our approve foreign
beneficiaries which you are among the enlistment. As a matter of urgency,
you are advised to contact this office for final arrangement on how to
receive the original copy of your already raised Bank draft for lodgment
into your account, which will stay for 5 banking days before confirmation
and clearance.

Bear in mind that your Full Name and current receiving mailing address will be needed for the shipment of your Original Bank Draft, therefore, forward it to this office as soon as you get this notice.

Warning: you should stop any further communication with any other office, as we will not entertain any sort of interruption from anybody on your payment.
You have been advised accordingly. You are to call me on direct Tel/ Fax 234-1-7617895, for further information about your already raised Bank Draft.
