"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I GOOD DAY (FROM GBENGA OBASANJO JR)

Dear Friend,
Please pardon me for not having the liberty of knowing your mindset before writing you this letter without any formal introduction. I am Mr. Gbenga Obasanjo, the son of Former President of Federal Republic of Nigeria,. I am soliciting your understanding and confidence in this message, by virtue of its contents and nature as been utterly confidential and top secret. Though I know that a request of this magnitude will make anyone apprehensive and worried, but I am assuring you that I have come in peace with a request that will benefit you and myself without any problem on your side.
A situation so pressing and rewarding necessitates my contacting you on a short notice. After the death of my Mother Late Mrs. Stella Obasanjo the former First Lady of Federal Republic of Nigeria who died a few weeks before her 60th birthday from complications of cosmetic surgery at a private health clinic in Puerto Banús, Marbella, Spain, on 23 October 2005. before the death of my late Mother, she told me that she deposited two trunk boxes to one of the security company in Republic of Ghana as a Gold family valuables and treasures totaling US$29,750.000:00 (Twenty Nine Million Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars) in cash to the company in case if she didnt come back that I should go for the money and have it transferred outside the country for investment purpose.

I am contacting you following privileged information I received recently from one of my late mothers lawyers. Sir I will love to present you to the company as the new owner of the two trunk boxes that is why I had to write you this mail because if you agree to make you the next of kin and beneficiary of the deposit you can claim the fund due to security mounted on me I can not travel for the claim of the fund and Nigerian Government will know about the fund if I present myself to the company as the new owner of the fund. that is why I will love to present you because if I dont it will go as abandoned deposit and the company management will hand it over to the government.
i want to assure you that this will be done 100% legal and risk free once you agree with me I will give you the email contact information and phone number of my mothers lawyer based in Ghana to carry you along with the process in getting Affidavit Of Fact From a high court in Ghana and an Affidavit of Claim from the Ministry of Justice and with these two documents the security company will have no choice than to make you the next of kin and beneficiary of the deposit.

I am willing to allow you a brokerage of 30% out of the whole money if you will consider this offer in good confidence and honesty. I am ready to relocate to your country to reside and invest this money which I will also be needing your advise and assistance. If this proposal is OK by you and you do not wish to take advantage of the trust I hope to bestow on you and your company by disclosing my position, please reply immediately with return message.
Be informed for your assistance in my investment plans in your country, you will be receiving 25% from every profit made. I await your quick and rapid response towards this confidential matter.

Thank you,
Mr. Gbenga Obasanjo
