"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

After the meeting held recently on 4th of Décember 2009, His Excellence the PRESIDENT OF FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF BENIN (DR BONI YAYI) has Instructed this Department to effect your payment of ($1.5Million USD) contracted/inheritance fund through Western Union.

The maximium amount you will be receiving per a day starting from tomorrow is ($5,000.00usd) until your total sum of ($1.5MillionUSD) is completely transferred to you.

We sincerely apologize for the delay of your payment and all the inconveniences that we might have indulge you through.

However, contact Western Union Agent REV. DR. DAVID RICHMOND for further instructions on how to receive your due payment which has been deposited to them for transfer to you.

Also re-confirm to him (1) YOUR TRANSFER ADDRESS where you want your money to be sent, (2) YOUR FULL NAME and also (3) YOUR PHONE NUMBER for easy communications ok.

Finally, contact them as soon as you receive this message from me and also re-confirm to them your information as you were instructed above to enable them confirm and proceed on your fund transfer with immediate effect.
