"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear In Christ.

Beloved,

I am Mrs. Amanda Sawyer, former wife of Amos Sawyer of Liberia. I have
been undergoing psychological and medical rehabilitation here in London
having lost the beauty of life by the death of my two daughters in the
Liberian war that was sparked up by my former husband and his fellow
militants and devil incarnate.

After a prolonged fervent prayer and fasting session, I have come to
realize that vanity upon vanity is truly vanity; hence, I have willingly
decided to sacrifice my time deposit of Six Million five hundred thousand
Dollars (USD $6,500,000.00) for the hope of forgiveness and eternity. The
said fund is presently deposited in a finance company here in London and
all the documents are in the safe custody of my Attorney.

I pray above all other things that the almighty God will grant you the
desired humility and honesty to faithfully receive my donation for the
purpose of propagation of the kingdom of God and charitable activities.

God bless you as you pray for me and other war victims. I look forward to
your timely response.

Mrs. Amanda Sawyer
