"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am very glad that I have found you, how is your family today? hope your doing ok? I would like you to go through this proposal of mine, I'm Chris Madu, personal accountant to Engr. Evans, a national of your country, possibly could be your brother or uncle, who work with Ashanti Goldfields CO LTD GHANA.
 
On 21 April 2008, Engr. Evans, his wife and Two children were involved in a tragic accident on Sagamu Express Way, unfortunately, he and his family died in the accident. Since then I have made several inquiries to your embassy here in Ghana in search of his extended relatives. This has also proved unsuccessful.
 
After these several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to find a close relative on the internet who bear thesame last name with him or a member of his family, so I will get in touch. I have contacted you to assist in repatriating the funds left behind by my late client to avoid confisticating of the funds, where he deposited this huge funds.

Since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over 2 years now I seek your consent to you as next of kin of the deceased since you have the same last name so that we can work together and proceeds to claim the said funds valued at $27,000,000:00 shall be released to you and then you and I can share the money. 50% to me and 40% for you and 10% for expenses for both parties.
 
I can provide all necessary legal documents that will back you up as the Authentic Beneficiary of the said funds. And I have to ensure that these funds will not be confisticated or fallen into the wrong hands at the end. All I require is your honest cooperation to ensure that we can see the success of this claim. I guarantee that this part of a lawful order, which will run from a violation of the law for protection.
