"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

It’s our pleasure to inform you that the activation of your Escrow Account (EA) need your urgent attention and we hope you will act as matter of urgency to activate your Escrow Account so that you have easy access to our great services, that has been set aside for your benefit and we hope you will find them interesting.

The funds was deposited on your name by the late Finance Minister of Ghana Mr. Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu, since the sudden death of Honorable Minister Fidelity Bank has been trying to get in touch with for the activation of this at so that you will have full access power to the account.

Remember that the activation of your escrow account will enable you Fidelity Bank Ghana to send you the Log in information such as ID & PASSWORD to access your online banking.
