"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Mr. John Nana, The Chief superintendent of Custom and Excise, (safety
and security department) at the Kotoka international airport, here in
Republic of Ghana.I have been newly transferred from the Aflao boarder post
to the airport.



On my first official resumption of office, I visited the warehouses, I
noticed that the warehouse was congested with various goods and consignments
which has been confiscated by the customs authority, These consignment were
tagged with names of beneficiaries abroad, I have contacted several
beneficiaries of this impounded goods and consignment, hence I decided to
equally contact you.



Be informed that the authority and the presidency has mandated me with the
power to carry out 14days massive decongestion of the various warehouses in
the airport. Please as a matter of urgency all customers and respective
beneficiaries whose goods,luggages,consignments and valuables etc has been
impounded by the airport custom authority should immediately report within
the stipulated dates with evident of ownership, and flat rate non negotiable
official fee of 500.00USD per consignment.


This was officially rated by the national decongestion teem of the custom
authority.Please there are four silver trunk boxes lying down tagged with
your name with ref Number 033962547 and Security Code
SSCSC/253/SC-VA-25347/00 Respectively. Note that all goods and consignments
are to be delivered diplomatically to your door step after payment has been
made.
