"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Urma Mubosa, personal Cook to Late Dr Will , Who was a Nationality of your country who was a gold merchant here in Republic of Benin, West Africa. On the 4th of July 2006, Dr. Will lost his life as a result of Brain cancer, as confirmed by a medical specialist who was taking care of his illness for over six months before his death.
 
I have contacted you so that you can help to repatriate the (fund) left behind by Dr. Will. Before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the Central Apex Bank here in Republic of Benin. This money was lodged with a local bank here, where Dr Will. Had an account valued about $8.5 million dollars (Eight Million Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars)
 
I have contacted you to come and claim this fund as his relative since the Bank here want to confiscate this fund and they have relate to me to find the family next of Kin as his personal Cook and I don’t know what to do to get this fund myself out of the Bank because I am not a member of his family am just his Cook
 
I am only asking if it pleases you to come for this claim or let the Bank here confiscate this fund as they have told me to locate his family member or the Board Government of the Bank will confiscate this fund as their banking rules please I don’t know what this mean but I think someone like you been a member of his family should deserve this fund for better purpose but if you don’t would prefer the bank confiscate this fund is in your hand
