"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello my friend,

I know that you will be surprise to read from somebody you have not known or seen before, But behold" I entreat you to take the will for the deed. However I got your address through your country's business directory.

I have the pleasure to make this surprising but mutually benefiting business proposal to you. I am the chairman of the newly Inaugurated Commission, NATIONAL CONTRACT PAYMENT COMMISSION (NCPC) set-up for payments of all over-due executed contracts and for the privatization bid of the refineries of the African largest crude oil producing firm: Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). My house member has mandated me to solicit for your urgent business assistance to help us accommodate a mega sum of money in your Bank account presently floating at our (NNPC) Foreign Payments Vault Account at our Central Bank of Nigeria.

Our Petroleum refineries are heavily indebted to many companies, and my Committee has the mandate of compiling the names of these Companies and thereafter recommend to our Central Bank of Nigeria to pay any foreign contractor we confirmed Ok. However with our elevated positions as Senators of the Federal Government of Nigeria, I and my colleague who has prior knowledge to this Deal has successfully secured for ourselves the sum of: ($14,500 000.00) Fourteen million, five hundred thousand u.s. dollars only. This sum was acquired by carefully Over-invoicing the amounts of Foreign Debts owed to our foreign contractors to excess of this amount ($14,500 000.00) as stated above.

Therefore I need your name, or your company's name and address to be included in our list of approved Foreign Contractors to be paid before sending our PAYMENT VOUCHER (list of foreign contractors) to our Apex paying bank: Central Bank of Nigeria for the final transfer of this ($14,500 000.00) to you.

To this regard, your company or yourself will be paid among the Foreign Contractors who executed a contract in our Kaduna petroleum refinery in 2006. I was trusted by my partner to seek for a foreign partner who will help us receive this (US$14,500 000) in his private or corporate Bank account. Basically this was why I contacted you anticipating positively that you will be honest and sincere to co-operate with us to actualize this goal.

Please if you are interested, quickly acknowledge receipt of this letter by e-mail or Call me on my Direct mobile# 234 708 3258202. Also endeavor to send to me your direct phone numbers at your earliest convenient. This transaction is 100% risk free.

Finally, we are looking forward to doing this business with you and we do solicit absolute seclude and confidentiality from you in this transaction.

Yours faithfully,

Senator Paul Emmanuel (Chairman)
