"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Important Business Plz CALL ...

Dear Friend,

I am Mr. Stephen K. Green, Group Chairman, HSBC Bank Group.

It is my pleasure to write to you this day, following an opportunity in my office that will be of immense benefit to both of us, I believe this notification meets you in a very good present state of mind and health, I obtained your contact details through the Global Guest Book Directory. This is based on Trust and Confidence, and you are entitled to Accept or Reject it. I can't imagine how you will feel receiving a sudden letter from a Country far away and probably from someone you are not closely related with, but all the same, I believe we do not need to be of blood relatives before we can establish cordial relationship. I feel quite safe dealing with you in this important business though this medium (Internet) and it has been greatly abused, I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest medium of communication. However, this correspondence is Unofficial and Private, I would respectfully request that you keep the contents of
this mail Confidential and Respect the integrity of the information you come by as a result of this mail. I contact you independently and no one is informed of this communication, and it will be of immense benefit to both of us.

In 1998, an American investor (AN ALASKAN) came to our bank to engage in business discussions with our private banking division. He informed us that he had a financial portfolio of $45 Million United States Dollars, which he wished to have us invest on his behalf.

We met on numerous occasions prior to any investments being placed. I encouraged him to consider various growth funds with prime ratings, based on my advice, we spun the money around various opportunities and made attractive margins for our first months of operation, I had a conversation with Late Mr. Morris Thompson, a month before his death and he was describing to me the cabin he planned to build on the Yukon River and his optimism for the future.

In early 2000, he asked that the money be liquidated because he needed to make an urgent investment requiring cash payments here in London. He directed that I liquidate the funds and deposit it with a security firm. I informed him that HSBC would have to make special arrangements to have this done and in order not to circumvent due process, the bank would have to make a 9.5 % deduction from the funds to cater for banking and statutory charges. He complained about the charges but later came around when I explained to him the complexities of the task he was asking of us. The deceased told me he wanted the money there in anticipation of his arrival from Mexico later that week, this was the last communication we had.

On his way from Mexico, He lost his life in the plane crash of Alaska Airlines Flight 261 which crashed on January 31st 2000, including His Wife and Only Daughter, Friends and families were lost in this devastated incident. You shall read more about the crash on visiting this site, which I got during my investigation: -

In middle of July 2006, Chancellor Gordon Brown, instructed us to put every unclaimed deposit which has not been touched for years in our bank for good uses and Late Mr. Morris Thompson's funds is among of the funds lying unclaimed in the bank here in UK, for more information please log on to:

My bank have launched an investigation into possible surviving next of kin to alert about the situation and also to come forward to claim his money. If you are familiar with private banking affairs, those who patronize our services usually prefer anonymity, but also some levels of detachment from conventional processes. In his bio-data form, he listed no next of kin. In the field of private banking opening an account with us means no one will know of its existence, accounts are rarely held under a name, depositors use Numbers and Codes to make the accounts anonymous. This bank also gives the choice to depositors of having their mail sent to them or held at the bank itself, ensuring that there are no traces of the account and as I said, rarely do they nominate next of kin. Private banking clients apart from not nominating next of kin also usually in most cases leave wills in our care, in this case, the deceased died without a testament. In line with our
internal processes for account holders who have passed away, we instituted our own Investigations in good faith to determine who should have right to claim the money. This investigation has for the past months been unfruitful. We have scanned every continent and used our private investigation affiliate companies to get to the root of the problem.

Over years I got information about his death, I have been expecting his Next of Kin or close Relatives to come over and claim his money because the bank cannot release it unless someone applies for it as next of kin or relation to the deceased as indicated in the banking guidelines. Unfortunately I learnt that his supposed next of kin being his only daughter died along with him in the plane crash leaving nobody with the knowledge of this fund behind for the claim, hence I could not find his Next of Kin or close Relatives to come over and claim his money, I now present you as the Next of Kin or close Relatives, to the deceased as indicated in the banking guidelines.

After 20 years of dormancy any such accounts holding funds of certain magnitudes will be re-directed to the bank treasury as unclaimed funds and will be shared among the bank Share-Holders, after that the file will be closed. This is what I am trying to prevent from happening. I will rather see the whole money go directly to Charity Organization with a help of a foreigner, If you share the same ideology as myself, please do not hesitate to contact me.

This business is an urgent task, if you are interested and you find the capabilities to transact this business with me, send me an urgent message on Email: skgreenhsbc007@gmail.com,

Note: I am aware of the various similar propositions mail proposal flying about on the Internet and I must confess that I was reluctant to take up this task, but having carried out my investigations and confirm it true, I can confidently tell you that this is not scam.
I look forward to hearing from you, and hope we have a mutual business partnership.

Sincerely,

Mr. Stephen K. Green, Group Chairman,
HSBC Group London - UK.
