"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

RE:REASON WHY YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR PAYMENT

Attn Honorable Contractor,

I am Bar Mrs Amanda Woods am the newly appointed Director of the Anti-fraud department of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). I was formerly the Director of Foreign Projects Payment with the responsibility of accessing all paid and unpaid Project (Contract award) and claims in the office of the Managing Director of NNPC. Honestly, your payment file is not new to me for I have met same file in my former office My dear,
I am writing to let you know exactly why you have not received a cent from the Federal Government of Nigeria. First, you were not originally awarded this contract at inception; you neither have no contract tender receipt nor job card. You do not also have any contract site attestation report or any file. You were portrayed as a sub-contractor to the original contractor of contract award. Several documents of proof and the intelligence vetting Central Computer can further prove this point.

It is rather unfortunate that your local partners whom may have helped you secure some approval papers did not tell you the whole truth about this very claim. YOUR NAME ONLY REFLECTS AS A SUB-CONTRACTOR. However, I want to assure you that there is still hope at the other end of the tunnel if and only if you will follow my instructions and advice.
What you have to do is to NORMALIZE your Contract Payment file as to reflect and show that you or your company is a sister company to the original contractor of the contract award. Upon NORMALIZATION of your contract file, I will assist you by writing a favorable letter of recommendation for the release of over-due contract payment to the NNPC Board of Trustees.

AS A MATTER OF NNPC POLICY, YOU MUST NORMALISE YOUR DOCUMENTS OF CLAIM TO SHOW THERE IS A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN YOU AND THE ORIGINAL COMPANY OF THE CONTRACT AWARD, ELSE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE NOTHING. Let me inform you at this point that it is only the NNPC Board of Trustees Chairman that has the constitutional powers to issue a formal NNPC DEBIT ADVICE to the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria respectively to release funds from NNPC Consolidated accounts.

The mistake you made and still making is that you believe and think that the CBN or some oversea banks or institution will pay you without a formal letter of DEBIT ADVICE from NNPC.NOTE, THIS IS A CONTRACT SUB-LET THEREFORE MUST BE NORMALIZED ON YOUR NAME DIRECTLY.
If you are willing and ready to follow up the procedures in actualizing your dream in receiving this payment, I hereby advice you to call me or send me a mail immediately so that I can inform you of the necessary steps to take. If you are not ready or able please don't bother calling me and please forget about this claim as you will only bite your finger further with any step you take outside this executive information.

I assure you that you will smile after proper normalization of file.

Yours faithfully,
Bar Mrs Amanda Woods
