"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Supplies to, and Contracts to Iraq

Dear esteemed Supplier / Contractor,
In order to fast track the infrastructural, social, and economic development of war torn Iraq, the Iraqi Government is offering SUPPLIES / CONTRACTS worth billions of US Dollars. These supplies / contracts are in the areas of repair and continuity of operations of the Iraqi oil infrastructure and ancillary supplies; reconstruction which encompasses electric power and power grids, ports, roads, bridges, and telecommunications, to schools and health care facilities, medical/ hospitals equipment; general military supplies/security; commodities supplies which includes rice, flour, sugar, cement , food products and beverages etc; general supplies which includes light and heavy equipment; chemicals; Helicopters and military aircraft; tools; Trucks; lifting equipment; caterpillars; Agricultural equipment and machinery; EVERYTHING!

Because of our track record, the Iraq Bureau of Contracts /Supplies Awards has appointed my Company to source for a foreign SUPPLIER / CONTRACTOR to supply / execute projects in any of the above categories. Minimum supply / contract is US$100 million. Contract terms and payment conditions are very favorable. Because most foreign Banks do not honor Letters of Credit and other payment terms from Iraqi Banks, payment is 100% wire transfer of supply/ contract amount UPFRONT! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Please contact me urgently if you can supply any of the above listed supplies or if you can execute any of the above listed projects.

Best regards,
Abdulahi A. Mustafa; General Manager
