"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

America married to Engineer Ibrahim from Britain who until his death worked as United Nations
contractor, my husband was among the United Nations workers died Tuesday, January 12, 2010
Haiti Earthquake, before his death, he had a concluded contract of $1.8 Million dollars with the
United Nations, right now the fund is in Hsbc Bank. After the death of my husband his family
members sent me and my children out with nothing because I am a Muslim, they family members
has never been happy with our marriage since my late husband converted to Islam in other to marry
me and been an orphan, no body to help me and my children.
 
I have contacted you in tears to assist in transferring this money to your bank account before my
late husband family members get knowledge of the fund, this money is my life, and there is no way
I can let then take it because who will take care of my kids?.
