"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend.
 
I have been waiting for you to come down here for your Consignment box worth
of $US250,000,00 dollars for your compensation but I did not hear from you,
then I went and deposited the Consignment box with a capitaltrustbank,under
the care of FedEx Delivery Company because I am travelling to return next
month end.
 
You are to contact FedEx Delivery Company COTONOU BENIN REPUBLIC
immediately to know when they will deliver your Consignment box.
For your information, I have paid for the delivery Charges, Insurance premium
and Clearance Certificate Fee of the Consignment box showing that it is not
a Drug Money or meant to sponsor Terrorism attack in your Country.
The only money you will send to FEDEX DELIVERY COMPANY to deliver the Consignment box of your compensation direct to your postal Address in your country is
only US$80 Dollars only being Security Keeping Fee of the Courier Company
so far. Again, don't be deceived by anybody to pay any other money except
US$80 Dollar.
 
 I would have paid that but they refused, because they don't know when you will contact them and in case of demurrage. Let me repeat again, try to contact them immediately you receive this mail to avoid any further delay and remember to pay the Security Keeping fee of US$80 for their immediate action and also you have to forward them the registration
code 005278. Below is the Contact Information of FEDEX DELIVERY COMPANY Manager, DIRECTOR DELIVERY DEPARTMENT FedEx Delivery Company: Website. 20/22 DR. Dean Joan, Cotonou Benin Republic email address:  fedexdeliveryltd@w.cn
Contact them as soon as possible to avoid increasing the security keeping
fee. Finally, you have to reconfirm this information, namely; Your complete names,
phone number and residence address to them again to avoid any mistake in
the delivery. Let me know as soon as you receive your Consignment box.
