"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

One of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, (NNPC) foreign contractor from your Country, whom I assisted in securing a Contract worth of Forty Five Million US Dollars offered me a gift of Five Hundred Thousand US Dollars and informed me that the amount will be issued to me on a certified bank check and send to me to cash, he called me this morning to remind me that the check will be issued as soon as I give him the name that would be writing on the check and address of where to post the check,

I discussed with my wife and agreed together to use this money to buy House for my family around your location. This is why I am making this contact directly to you, the arrangement is that your name and address will be forwarded to the Contractor who is presently in your Country to issue the check on your name and send to you to deposit in your bank account for clearance, upon clearance of the check in your bank account my wife could travel to your country to inspect a fine moderate house within the range of Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand US Dollars for us to buy and balance of One Hundred and Thirty Thousand will be transferred by you to our fiduciary bank account,
