"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Dear Candidate,
Compliments to you! How are you, My name is Bill Scott and I currently run
the UK branch of Sino Textiles; a company that sells Chinese, English and
African textile and fabric materials with the cooperate head office in
China and branches all over Australia, Africa
and Europe. We are looking for a trustworthy representative in USA/Canada
that can help as a link between us and my clients over there, to serve as
a means of expatiating payments for supplies made. I would like to know if
you are interested, to work from home for my firm. Sino Textiles LTD needs
a book-keeper or representative in the
States, so I want to know if you will like to work online from home and
getting paid weekly without leaving or affecting your present job.
We run a textile and fabrics firm like I mentioned above here in London,
England and we need someone to work for the company as a financial
representative/Agent in the USA and Canada. The company produces various
clothing materials, batiks, assorted fabrics and traditional costumes.
Here is my company's website: www.sinotextiles.com. We supply goods to our
clients in the USA and Canada; the clients make payments which are not
readily cashable
outside the US or Canada, so we need someone in the States/Canada to work
as our representative and assist us in processing the payments from our
clients and we will pay him/her a wage, by percentage of the amount
received.
All you need to do is receive this payment from our clients in
the States or Canada and then deduct your payment which is going to be 10%
of any total payment received and you safe keep the remaining balance
until you are directed to send it to a destination. So all needed is to
forward your information to our numerous clients in the states or Canada
and they will contact you before they issue payment
In form of money order or checks then send it via courier or mail to
You.
If this job offer is accepted by you and meet these conditions and wish to
apply, send this reference position number #31036748 with your full name,
full mailing address, phone number and stating your current occupation to
(sinotextles@yahoo.com.hk) so we can forward it to our clients and they
will start making payments to you as one of the company's representatives
in the states.
Thanks and we await your speedy response.
