"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Mr. Franklin Peterson, of the Metropolitan police unit London , I am in charge of Air Clearance Tariff in-charge of X-Ray Department at the Heathrow Airport London. I am contacting you confidentially in regards of an abandoned consignment under my custody.
I personally made a Scanning (X-Ray) on this package and surprisingly I dictated that the package was filled up with Huge amount of United States Currency Dollar Bills.
My reasons of contacting you on this, is to front you as the recipient of this package and I will give you all the necessary information's and legal papers which you requires to apply for the release by the Metropolitan police London, as the consignment will be among other consignments that will be confiscated by the Government, if it remains unclear by the end of this month.
I agreed that the amount in the package will be share with you on 50/50 bases immediately the package is been released and dispatch to you. I will equally give you the picture of the consignment when it was scanned at the Metropolitan unit logistics.
