"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest one,

With due respect and humility I write this letter to you seeking your help and assistance, though it might be surprising to you since we have not met before. I got your contact with your business profile and decided to write to you and I hope you will accept to help me.

My name is Miss Caroline Kabre, 22 years old from Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa.  My mother, late Mrs. Rachel Kabre was a successful business woman  ( widow) and I'm the only child. Before she died in October 2005 she had the amount of Six Million Five Hundred Thousand USA Dollars ( $6,500.000.00) which she made through her various business engagements and deposited it in a financial security firm here in the country.

The reason why I contacted you is to ask for your help to transfer the money into your bank account in your country before I can move out of my country to meet you in your country for  investment and to further my education. I am willing to offer you a resonable percentage of this money if you accept to help me and conclude this arrangement as quick as possible.
Please try and consider my request and help me. I will give you more details once I receive a positive response from you. Thanks.

Carol Kabre.
