"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My name is Mrs Edith Raymond Malik from Gambia my husband was working as a diplomat here with the embassy crew before his untimely death. My late husband left the sum of 4.5 million united states dollars ( four Million Five Hundred Thousand US. Dollars ) which he told me he deposited in one of the primary bank here in Africa, and he told me, that he has left this money for the charity poor children world wide to have it and take care of Poor Orphanges home for children world wide, because we have only one child, during our days.Early this year my doctor told that I have a breast cancer, now I am seriously ill in a medical hospital here in Abidjan Ivory Coast ,and I do not want this funds that my late husband left behind to waste in this Country.

Now I have decided to hand over the money to a trust worthy brother or sister who will take care of it and use it as my late husband instucted me , due to my illness in the hospital at the moment. Get back to me with a strong believe that you can handle this money as instructed by my late husband, I want an honest response ,so that I can foward to you the certificate of deposite issued to my late husband by the bank when he deposited the money for your perusal verification of the exsiting of the money.I am asuring you that this money is real. For now i do not know how life is going to treat me here in the hospital.

Although I am not scared to die, but for the fact that my husband will, has been written and handed over to me, I can not allowed it to be waste. I will send to you the contact of the bank as soon as I hear from you, so that you can contact them and get the proceedure and I will write an authorisation letter to enable the bank transfer the money into your account in your country. Waiting for your reply,so i can send to you the doucuments of the money.

Yours faithfully,
Mrs Edith Raymond Malik.
