"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dearest Beloved

  Dearest beloved,

Although, I am not comfortable discussing the content of my mail on the internet owing to lots of scam mails on the internet nowadays but I have no other means to reach you but through the internet and I beg you to reply me when you read this email.

I am writing you with pains and agony concerning my son who I will leave soon. I'm Mrs. Alice Alrich from Haiti. I was married to Mr. Nicolas Alrich who died on January 12, 2010 along side other members of our family as a result of the earthquake that struck Haiti. My husband was former Minister of Foreign affairs and after his appointment in 1999 we relocated to UK where we lived. I was saved from the tragedy because we all were supposed to travel to Haiti with him for Christmas but my ill health did not permit me to travel with him and I stayed back in London with our son (Jackson) while my husband traveled alone and met his untimely death.

I suffer from cardio-renal syndrome which has also affected my blood pressure. The news of my husband's death left me with deteriorated health. Few days ago I was flown to St. Nikolaus-Hospital Büren Germany for surgical operation.

I am writing you this letter from my hospital bed because of the state of my health and my worry over my son's future. Jackson will face hardship in life if nobody takes care of him when I die. I was told by my doctor that I may not live longer than 7 weeks considering the extent of damage cardiopathy has afflicted on my organs. I was very depressed after hearing the doctor and knowing that I will die soon. Now, Jackson 's future is my major problem because I do not have anybody to take care of him when I die. I do not want my son to live in the orphanage as an orphan.

The hospital management has asked me to sign a medical undertaken before they can carry out the surgery to save my life but I am scared because the success of operation is not guaranteed and I may die during the operation. I need someone who can take care of my son before I undergo the surgery. This is why I am appealing to you to take my son and love him as your son because I do not have relatives to take care of him when I die. I have been differing the operation since after my husband's death to see if I can find my relative to give my son but I can't trace them and now time is fast running out on me. My life is at risk if I do not undergo the surgery soon.

I am the beneficiary of my husband's bank deposits in London. I hope my money in the bank which I inherited from my husband will be enough to take care of my son's welfare. I will give the bank information to you as my next of Kin who will in turn take care of my son. Jackson is only 9 years and he needs parental care to grow into a responsible man. I do not want your pity for my condition. All I want is your love for my son not because of the money I am willing to give you but for my child. I do not want my son to live in the orphanage because he will lack the parental love and care I wish for him.

God bless you,
Yours Alice.
