"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

RE: WORLD REPARATION PAYMENT COMMITTEE (LOTTERY AWARD FUND,
INHERITANCE CLAIMS, CONTRACT PAYMENTS)
The above is a recently inaugurated body with the responsibility to
pay outstanding and long
overdue debts in the categories of:
(a)Lottery Award Funds
(b)Inheritance Claims
(c)Completed Overseas Contracts
The World Reparation Payment Committee (WRPC) is making these
payments in conjunction with Overseas Credit Commission (OCC) and
sponsored by the World bank.
We acknowledge that your payment is long overdue and we apologize
for the delay of your payment and all the inconveniences and hiccups
that the delays may have caused you.
The delays was as a result of some problems with our payment
schedule balancing that had to do with some unscrupulous officials of
the WRPC who thankfully, have been retired.
The issue was actually beyond our immediate control and made it
impossible for this
committee to accredit foreign payments.
However, we are happy to announce to you that we can now proceed with
all pending foreign payments as we now have square pegs in square
holes, and everything is perfectly in order.
From the Record of outstanding debt's due for payment, your name and
Particulars were
discovered as next on the list due for outstanding payment.
Your payment procedure will now be accelerated and payment will be
released to you as soon as you respond to this letter.
Also note that from the record in our file, YOUR APPROVED PAYMENT IS
US$850,000.00 (EIGHT HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS).
