"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOOD NEWS FROM PIUS SAIDU MOMOH

Dear,

Greetings to you, do you still remember me? I am very happy to inform you about my success in getting the fund transferred under the co-operation of a new partner from Dominican Republic. Presently, we are in Dominican Republic for the investment of the money. Meanwhile, we didn't forget your past efforts and attempts to assist us in transferring the funds despite that it failed us some how at that time.

Before we left Cote d'Ivoire three days ago, we tried many times to reach you on phone but your phone number wasn't through, because we want to send you a check of $500,000.00 to compensate you for the past effort and help you give us at that time.  So we decided to keep the check with Pastor Joel Amos, who through him we got the new partner, I would want you to contact him, ask him to send you the check, his email address is (pastor_jamos@yahoo.com) ask him to send you the $500,000.00  (Five Hundred Thousand Dollars check) which we kept for your compensation for all the past efforts and attempt you made to assist us in transferring the money.

We do appreciate your efforts at that time very much. So feel free and get in touch with Pastor Joel Amos, and instruct him where to send the check to you.

Please do let us know immediately you receive it so that we can share the joy together after all the sufferings at that time. In the moment, we are very busy here because of the investment which me and the new partner are having at hand, finally, I have forwarded instruction to Pastor Joel Amos on your behalf to send you that check, so feel free to get in touch with him, and he will send the check to you without any delay.

With best regards

Pius Saidu Momoh.
