"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your Fund Very Re-Claim From False Claimer US$2.500.000.00

TRANSFER OF US$2.500.000.00 TO A DIFFERENT BANK ACCOUNT.

CLAIM NOTIFICATION: On behalf of the entire staff and management of this bank, this email is coming to you as a confirmation to know if you are DEAD or still ALIVE. We received a notification message and phone call from one MR. ARNOLD HAROLD of Newark Valley NY 13811 USA, stating that you are DEAD and that you have given him the right and authority to claim your funds.

Due to the fact that this man is not your legal next of kin, the board of directors has instructed me to confirm if you are trully DEAD or ALIVE because this man came with a DEATH CERTIFICATE which shows that you are dead.

He stated you died in a CAR accident. He has been calling us regarding this issue, but we cannot proceed with him until we confirm this by not hearing from you after 3days.

If you are still alive, it is important for you to know that we have made all arrangements for you to receive and confirm your funds without any stress, and without any further delays. All Legal documents backing up your funds has been prepared and the documents will be sent to your residence address via DHL.

All we need to confirm now is you been DEAD Or still Alive. Because this man's message brought shock to our minds and all the staff of this bank is planning to send a condolence gift/message to your family.

If you are alive, you are adviced to respond to this email as soon as possible so we can instruct the proper authorities to get hold of this man the next time we will be hearing from him.
