Good day.
Please confirm your receipt of this mail because previous Correspondence has been sent to you but we did not get any response from you. Bear in mind that no execution will be carried out without your endorsement and also if I do not hear from you.
I wish to notify you that I need your assistance to stand as next of kin and also a beneficiary to the bequest of the sum of US$8.3M [Eight Million Three Hundred Thousand US Dollars] deposited with a Bank here in Nigeria, according to the Bank, codicil and last testament of the deceased. The late beneficiary until his death was a former Managing Director and pioneer staff of a big Oil & Construction company. He established himself as a wealthy farmer in Asia where he exported rice and other poultry produce.
He was a very dedicated man and a great philanthropist during his lifetime, He involved himself in helping people by giving loans in agriculture and other ventures. My client died on 9th December 2009 at the age of 78. He has since been buried on the 23rd of December 2009. He was an American, lived in Africa all through his active years but later moved down to London due to long term illness where he died in a specialist hospital.
He was married but without a child and lost his wife in 2006 due to breast cancer. He said in his words as stated in his last testament that "it is my desired wish to see that the poor and less privileged are given assistance by any means and limit this token could go, especially in Asia, Africa and South America having seen it all myself". He therefore advised that this amount be "invested and then part of the proceeds be used in the work of humanity". As his attorney, he invested all his courage on me and requested that I ensure that this funds are used for the same suppose as he has requested. Because of this reasons, I hereby request that you forward your current telephone for further discussion and your correct forwarding address to enable us file necessary documents of claims for you to make due arrangements to ensure that the funds are claimed as his next of kin.
Please note that I have searched for his direct relative to no avail but since you have the same last name with him, you can stand as the next of kin with out any doubt by the Bank since I am well recognized as his attorney.
Yours faithfully,
Barrister Mike Kiyamo
