"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Martin Johnson from Barclay's Bank Plc London residing at 104 harIsden, North London, and here in United Kingdom .

I am writing you from my office with good gesture and proposal that would be of immense benefit to both of us, in my Department(Marketing) where I am a full manager on International Marketing Operations, I discovered an abandoned sum of Sixteen Million, Four Hundred Thousand, United States of American Dollars (USD($16.4M) in a domiciliary Account that belongs to one of our Over Sea Customer, Late Mr. George Wayne an American Citizen from Californian, USA who unfortunately lost his life in the Plane Crash of Alaska Airlines, Flight No. 261  which crashed on January 31st, 2000, including his Wife and his only son, but survived by his  only daughter, Maria .G.Wayne (27 yrs old) who approached me for this consultations I am doing now.

The choice of contacting you aroused from the geographical nature of where you live, particularly due to the senility nature of the transaction and the confidentiality herein, now our Bank has as her relation to come up for the claiming of the said and overdue Fund and our Bank (Barclay's) has been waiting, I supportly seek your consent to present you as the next of Kin/WILL Beneficiary to the deceased so that, the proceeds of this account valued at US $16.4 Million only could be approved and paid to you.

This will be disbursed/shared in these percentages, 50% to Late. Mr. George Wayne Daughter (Maria Wayne) 30% to you, 10% to me while the remaining 10% will be for unforeseen expenses, I will secure all the necessary Legal Documents that can be used to back up this claim on
your behalf, all I need is to fill in your name to the documents and Legalize them in the Law Court Authentic Named Receiver (Beneficiary) and the Legitimate of the Claiming Fund.

Please, all that I require now is your acceptance, honest co-operation, confidentiality and Trust to enable us see this transaction through. Furthermore, it may interest you to know that, with my capacity, I guarantee you that, this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law.
