"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I look forward to hearing from you urgently.

Dear Sir,

I am Rev. Father Thompson Abraham, a director with the Federal Ministry of
Finance and accounts division and was instructed by the Hon Minister of
Finance to find out before the end of the week, Why your contract/claim
has not been perfected and credited into your account, after instruction
has been issued to all various banks to offset all over due
contract/inheritance payments.


This ministry has received petitions from different beneficiary's
complaining that they have not received there over due contract claims to
the Minister.

Your bank details are what this office wants for reconfirmation,also your
telephone and fax numbers, and other informations relating Why you have
not received your payment up-till date? the new president on his financial
verdict has warned this ministry to make sure they offsets all bills due
for claim,as such the federal government has maped out the ( CENTRAL BANK
OF NIGERIAN And UNION BANK PLS)for onward transfer to the bonafied
beneficiaries.

You therefore advised to forward all relevant documernts for payment as
people aren caming up for ghost claims of fund and have submitted accounts
for diversion of innocent beneficary fund.
