"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

I hope this message reaches you in good health.

It is with great pleasure that I communicate with you via email to establish a long-term friendship, relationship and partnership with you.

By way of introduction, I am Mr. Kevin Woodford, an independent business and financial consultant with office in Ghana. I am representing general merchants in importations of top class goods in West African markets. We discovered that most of top class goods we need here in West African markets are being manufactured in your country and we are in need of a representative who will stand between my clients and the manufacturing companies in your country. Hence, I request your assistance to handle this project on behalf of my clients.

If you accept to work with us, you will be given the opportunity to buy and ship goods from the manufacturing companies in your country to my clients here in West Africa. As soon as your act in response to this message, I shall furnish you with list of top class goods we need and you stand the opportunity of earning great commissions from our dealings.

I look forward to a long-term friendship, relationship and partnership with you.

Yours Sincerely,

Dr. Kevin Woodford,
