"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM KEVIN

Hello,

How are you doing today? I wish to disclose this matter to you because from
what I read from your profile, my heart told me that you are an honest and
upright one.

My name is Kevin Wilson and I am an American soldier serving
in the Military of the 1st Armored Division in Iraq .
As you know, we are being attacked by insurgents everyday and car bombings. We
stumbled into Saddam Hussein's storage vault and discovered funds belonging to
his family. The total amount is US$72 Million dollars in cash, mostly 100
dollar bills tightly tied in $1000.00 bundles. I want to move my share of the
money to a reputable/sincere person for investment purposes. For this reason I
am contacting you.

I am ready to settle down with you and we will invest with the fund. The only
thing I require from you is just for you to help me life the fund out of Iraq
because Iraq is
a war zone. I am planning on using diplomatic means for the shipping of the
money out as military cargo signed and stamp by name.

If you are interested I will need your details such as full
name, contact address, direct cell phone number to enable the airlifting to
you. Honestly my heart is telling me that you are such a good and respectable
one with great repute that I can trust that will assist me. Can I trust you?

Respectfully,

Kevin Wilson.
