"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

We are registered agents in the oil and gas industry attached to the
Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). We have crude oil for
sale. If you are interested in buying the product, please contact us
immediately. You may also source for a buyer and you will make your
profit from the buyer and seller. Find below the procedures.

See if the procedure below is ok with you, kindly get back to me.
The source is veryreliable."Reputation and the trust it fosters have
always appeared to me to be the core required attributes of market
capitalism.When trust is lost, a nation's ability to transact business
is palpably undermined.

PROCEDURES:
1. Seller and buyer sign sales purchase contract agreement and copies
are sent to Buyer’s and Seller’s banks.
2. Buyer raises STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT (SBLC) /MT 760/MT 103 in the
format acceptable to the Seller in favor of the seller and send it by swift
to the Seller’s bank.
3. Seller confirms the STANDBY LETTER of CREDIT (SBLC) /MT 760/MT 103 and
sends Proof Of Product (such as Charter Party Agreement, Q88 and other cargo
documents) to Buyer’s bank via SWIFT.
4. Seller’s captain sails the loaded vessel out of Nigerian waters to point
of Q&Q which will not exceed offshore GHANA.
5. 24 hours after vessel drops anchor at agreed Q &Q location, the Buyer
releases to the Seller the names of the inspectors and the supercargo’s that
are to board. Such information will include their passport numbers, names,
phone numbers and email addresses. It must also include the type of vessels
(e.g. tug boat, chopper etc) to be used to get to Q & Q location, the ID and
Registration number of the vessels to be used
6. 24 HOURS after Marine Authority to Board (ATB) Format or information is
received from the buyer, vessel captain must issue marine ATB directly to buyer.
if the number of vessels that will be needed to fulfill the quantity specified in
this agreement is more than one, the ATB for all the vessels must be released on
the same day or not exceeding 24 hours of each other to the Buyer. A reassigned
ATB is invalid. Release of ATB one after another over a period of days or weeks
is invalid under this agreement. Payment for the quantity specified in this
agreement shall be done for all the combined quantity specified in this SPA not
vessel per vessel.
7. 24 hours after receipt of marine ATB, the buyer's selected inspectors and
supercargoes must board the vessel and conduct Q & Q.
8. Buyer’s inspector conduct Q&Q on the product and release their report ·
9. Upon confirmation of the SGS report, the Buyer places the payment instrument
for cargo and another instrument for vessel.
10. Buyer raises STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT (SBLC) /MT 760/ MT 103 in the format
acceptable to the seller in favor of the seller and sent it by swift to the seller’s bank.
11. Seller prepares documents the cargo in buyer’s name, sends soft copies to the buyer.
12. Buyer takes over the product.
13. The Buyer instructs his bank to release payment for the full value of the cargo
to the seller’s account and to the through KTT WIRE TRANSFER and release payment of
commissions the same way simultaneously to agents and facilitators whose coordinates
are outlined in the Agreement or SPA.
14. The seller releases the entire necessary original document to the Buyer.
15. Seller confirms the payment discharges the product as the buyer shall direct
and releases all the original copies of the shipping documents in buyer’s name to
the Buyer.

DOCUMENTS:

1) Clean Ocean Bill of Lading, One (1) Original and three (3) copies
2) Seller’s Commercial Invoice, One (1) Original and three (3) copies
3) Certificate of Origin issued by NNPC, One (1) Original and three (3) copies
4) Master’s receipt for Samples
5) Master’s receipt for Documents
6) Cargo Manifest
Faxed and photocopies of documents will be acceptable in lieu of copies but not in lieu
of the originals
